For episode 5, Tiffany Williams shares her experience with starting a mobile app startup, Givly. Tiffany is a development consultant for nonprofit organizations full time, and started Givly to help nonprofits engage with millennial donors. Givly is an app that makes it easy for millennials to donate to causes they care about, and allows nonprofits to engage with these donors with pictures and updates about impact of their donation.

Tiffany mentions two incredible resources for entrepreneurs in Chicago - 1871 and WiSTEM. 1871 is an incubator and digital tech hub, with membership based coworking opportunities and resources from 1 on 1 mentoring to workshops and events to support Chicago’s growing entrepreneurship community. WiSTEM is a 12-week accelerator program based in 1871, which provides programming, connections, and mentorship support for women digital technology / tech-enabled businesses.

At this time of posting, Givly is about to launch a Beta version of the Givly app for pilot testing with a few nonprofits and millennial donors. You can sign up for Givly’s newsletter to stay in the loop!
